I grew up with a single dad from the age of 5, only child, big heart, zero roadmap for love. I became my own parent at a very young age, handling anything and everything, completely self-sufficient.
In high school, I had never dated anyone and genuinely believed I was broken and probably going to be alone forever. Dramatic? Yes. Real? Also yes. By 16, I was supporting myself, my first job was at Build-A-Bear, sewing hearts into teddy bears, while having absolutely no idea how to patch my own.
By college, I was surrounded by attractive men and somehow still managed to friend zone all of them, because no one was up to my standards. I was single my entire life, with a part-time hobby of crushing men’s egos and keeping just enough distance to never actually have to be vulnerable. Love was something I deeply desired… it just wouldn’t happen for me, even with all the mindset work. So this is when my 8 years digital nomad journey began where I lived in 17 different cities around the world.
At 23, I cried for the first time. Like… actually cried. Which tells you everything you need to know about how disconnected I was from my body for most of my life. At 24 I stopped drinking, for health reasons & I partied enough for a lifetime at University of Arizona. At 25, I got my first boyfriend, and let’s just say… it was emotionally intense. I broke up with him the day before the pandemic started and then was locked inside, feeling everything I had avoided for years.
After that came my celibacy era, no dating, no entertaining, no performing for the male gaze. I fully detoxed from needing a man to choose me to feel worthy. I discovered nervous system regulation through somatic work, which is what took me from “I get it” to “I’m actually different now.” Around 28, I started building a real relationship with God (which was massive growing up atheist + then in new age for 6 years). I began to know God not just intellectually, but in a way where I actually felt safe, protected, and chosen.
And that’s where this work was born, in closing the gap between knowing what you want in love and actually experiencing it. I mentor women who have built beautiful lives, who are self-aware, who know how to love deeply… but still find themselves overthinking, overgiving, or quietly taking things back with “it’s just easier if I do it.”
And yeah… we’re retiring that personality trait.
I’m now in my dream relationship with my Portuguese prince charming. I came here on a solo trip at 31, fell in love, and moved from Hawaii 1.5 months later, which, if you know me, is the least surprising plot twist of all. Lover girl through and through.
And now? I’m with a man who's building me my dream house, takes care of things without being asked, and looks at me like I’m the easiest decision he’s ever made. A love my lineage has never seen… but always needed. Not because I ever stopped wanting love, I always did. But because I finally stayed open, trusted what God was doing, and allowed myself to receive it.
